Forms Bridge sends a Webflow site's form submissions straight into your client's own Google Sheet. You can paste one webhook into Webflow yourself, but connecting the site does more for you:

  • Forms Bridge lists the site's forms, so you tick the ones to send instead of typing their names.
  • It creates one webhook per form in Webflow once your client has approved their sheet's script.
  • It checks the webhooks every morning, puts back one that was deleted and follows a form you renamed.

You connect a site once. Every project on that site then uses the same connection.

Two ways to connect

With the Forms Bridge app

In Forms Bridge, choose Connect Webflow site (in a new project's first step, in a project's Webflow API connection panel, or under My account → Connected Webflow sites). Webflow opens and asks which sites Forms Bridge may use. Pick the sites and approve.

You come back to Forms Bridge with the sites connected. If you started from a new project and picked one site, it's already chosen for you.

You can also install Forms Bridge from the Webflow Marketplace. After installing, you land on your project list with the sites you picked, and choose what to do with them: start a new project on a site, or connect an existing project from its page.

The Forms Bridge app is waiting for its Marketplace approval. Until then, use a site API token.

With a site API token

  1. In Webflow, open the site, then Site settings → Apps & Integrations → API access → Generate API token.
  2. Name it "Forms Bridge" and tick Sites: read and write and Forms: read. Nothing else is needed.
  3. Copy the token (Webflow shows it once) and paste it into Forms Bridge. One token covers one site.

Both ways give Forms Bridge the same access and work the same afterwards.

What Forms Bridge asks for, and why

  • Sites: read: the site's name and address, and whether it's published.
  • Sites: write: to create, check and remove the form-submission webhooks of your projects.
  • Forms: read: the names and fields of the site's published forms, for the checklist.

Forms Bridge doesn't read your pages, your CMS or your form submissions through it. Submissions go from Webflow straight to your client's own Google Sheet and never pass through Forms Bridge.

The token Webflow gives Forms Bridge is stored encrypted, only on Forms Bridge's servers, and never shown again.

Choosing a site for a project

Connecting only adds sites to your list. You decide which project uses which site:

  • New project: in the first step, choose the client's site from your connected sites. Its published forms appear; tick the ones to send.
  • An existing project set up by hand: open it, then the menu → Webflow API connection, and choose the site. The webhook you pasted yourself is replaced by the ones Forms Bridge manages, so nothing arrives twice.

Removing the connection

  • One project: on the project page, under its Webflow line, choose Disconnect Webflow for this project. Its webhooks are removed; the site stays connected for your other projects.
  • A whole site: under My account → Connected Webflow sites, choose the site and Remove this site. Its token is deleted.
  • From Webflow's side: remove Forms Bridge from your Workspace's apps, or delete the site's API token. Forms Bridge deletes the stored token as soon as Webflow tells it the access is gone, and the next morning's check shows the projects on that site as Connection lost.

If something doesn't look right

  • No forms are listed: Webflow only lists the forms of the published site. Publish the site with the form (the free webflow.io address is enough), then reload the list.
  • "Connection lost" on the Webflow line: the access was removed or the token expired. Connect the site again; your projects keep their settings.
  • A form was renamed in Webflow: nothing to do. The next check moves its webhook to the new name.
